El viejo de las banderas

El viejo de las banderas, or 'old man of the flags', is how raconteur and activist Ricardo Antonio Peña likes to describe himself. He lives in a handmade house atop a hill on the outskirts of Bogotá, Colombia, and everyday, with his granddaughter by his side, he hoists his collection of flags over the valley. 

Set against the backdrop of conflict and struggle that has faced Colombians for the last half century, the short film is a portrait of one man and his home, his resilience, and his hopes for the future.
